International Internships

The Center for Global Health works with partners around the world to create meaningful global health internship opportunities for eligible students. Most of these internship assignments involve a twelve-week commitment and take place during the summer semester (June - August). To learn more, contact John Justino.

Carol A. Whittaker Global Health Travel Award

The Carol A. Whittaker Global Health Travel Award Fund provides support to students looking to complete international internships— helping to keep these experiences accessible to and within reach for all students. Each travel award recipient has returned to our campus transformed by their experiences abroad, eager to share what they have learned with fellow students. Providing students meaningful opportunities to live and work abroad is critical to our educational mission here at the Center for Global Health. These experiences equip our students with the skills and perspective they need to launch global health careers and improve the health of disadvantaged groups around the world.

Once you've received confirmation of your international internship placement, you'll receive an email from the Center for Global Health and the SPH Internships and Career Services Office with instructions on how to apply for the Carol A. Whittaker Global Health Travel Award.
