The 2015 Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Region Juried Exhibition will be held July 9 through September 5 at the University Art Museum, University at Albany.  This annual exhibition is collaboratively sponsored by the University Art Museum, the Albany Institute of History & Art, and The Hyde Collection, Glens Falls.

  • Jaquelyn Mendez


    After completing her MA in Visual Art, Jaquelyn is continuing as an MFA student at the University at Albany. She's a cinephile, urban explorer, and amateur photographer. She also enjoys wasting hours of her time surfing Air B&B and planning possible future trips all over the globe; which she probably won't get done until she's in her late 40s, an empty nester, and actually has the funds to do so.

    Sarah is an English major with a minor in Communications in her second semester at University at Albany. She previously went to school at the State University of New York at Potsdam. She's a social media addict, zoo enthusiast, and lover of all things Christmas. She is obsessed with her handsome 9 year old pup, Harley, but can't forget to mention her other two adorable dogs Arya and Doofus.
  • Thomas Owen


    Thomas is majoring in Informatics and minoring in Cybersecurity. Thomas will be finishing up his senior year at the University at Albany and is expected to graduate May 2018. In his free time he talks with friends, volunteers for his local community, and loves to challenge himself with new activities.

    A collaboration with New York State Writers Institute, UAlbany Performing Arts Center, University Art Museum and WAMC public radio station, The Creative Life brings leading figures in the arts to campus for a conversation with WAMC’s Joe Donahue about their creative practice.

    Upcoming conversations include photographer Frédéric Brenner (March 7, 7 pm PAC), choreographer Garth Fagan (March 28), and two-time Tony and Grammy winner Patti LuPone (April 26). Previous guests included fiction writer Joyce Carol Oates, tap dancer-choreographer Savion Glover, jazz violinist Regina Carter, painter David Salle, and author Lois Lowry.
