New York prepares study of Covid-19 racial disparities

With early data suggesting that black and Hispanic New Yorkers are more likely to die from Covid-19 than their white counterparts, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ordered state health officials to study the factors behind these disparities.
But some public health and policy experts have argued that the state’s response is too little, too late.
