US News Ranks UAlbany School of Business #1 in the Nation for the Second Year in a Row
For the second year in a row, the UAlbany School of Business has been ranked #1 in the U.S. for MBA job placement, according to U.S. News and World Report. All graduating full-time MBA students were fully employed three months post graduation. Dean Donald Siegel stated, "This year, we were the only business school in the country to place 100% of our full-time MBA students, matching our 100% placement in the previous academic year. This unprecedented achievement underscores the importance we place on securing employment for our graduates. No other school in the country can boast such an outstanding, consistent record of job placement. Thanks to Professor Hany Shawky, Associate Dean for Academic Programs, our esteemed, diligent faculty in the Department of Management and the Department of Information Technology, Deirdre Sweeney, our Director of Career Services, and many of our loyal alumni for their herculean efforts to place students."
The school's overall ranking in U.S. News and World Reports was #87 in the U.S., tied with or ahead of much larger, and much more expensive, elite private and public universities, such as Rensselaer, Texas Tech, Claremont Graduate University, the University of Oregon, and Stony Brook. This is the second year in a row the school been ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News.
