About

Professional Interests

Halla has experience working with a wide variety of young adults, who have varying presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, ADHD, Autism, and interpersonal challenges. She would like to work in a school, as a school social worker or with kids and adolescents. Halla believes in the value of early intervention.

Approach to Therapy

Halla is a strengths-based practitioner but is also developing her approach to therapy by drawing from numerous other therapeutic approaches. She enjoys helping her clients develop advocacy skills and values the importance of early intervention. She considers herself to be a forever student and encourages her clients to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Halla is collaborative, empathetic, feedback informed, and uses a multicultural and intersectional approach to her care.

Approach to Wellness

Halla at any moment in her free time, is either reading a rom-com, dancing, singing, hanging out with her husband, FaceTiming her family, or watching a YouTube video essay. She also enjoys baking, playing board games, and watching films (International, Musical, and too many other genres to count)!
