Professional Interests
Casey has experience working with diverse clients in a variety of settings. However, she is especially passionate about working with emerging adults and University students. Casey’s clinical interests include trauma, especially sexual violence trauma, anxiety and OCD, and depression management.
Approach to Therapy
Casey approaches her work with warmth, openness and authenticity. She believes that therapy should be collaborative and tailored to clients’ unique needs. To do this, Casey draws from feminist, person-centered, interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral theories. She also believes in the healing nature of creative outlets, such as art and music, and integrates this into her work whenever possible.
Approach to Wellness
Casey spends most of her downtime with her Shiba Inu, Elphie. She ingests as much pop culture as she can, especially in the form of competition reality shows, documentaries, sitcoms, dramas, and books. Casey’s favorite medium, however, is music, especially musical theater. She also enjoys learning new creative activities; for instance, she recently learned how to crochet.
