Michele Passonno
About

Michele Passonno (she/her) joined the Center for Public Health Continuing Education (CPHCE) in October 2023. She has over 10 years of experience at institutions of higher education as an educator in health promotion, wellness, and student affairs. Her skills include curriculum development, evaluation, training, project management, policy review, blended learning, crisis response, legal advocacy and case management. Prior to joining CPHCE, she served as Associate Director of Haven Sexual Violence Resource Center at Colgate University.

Originally from the Capital Region, Michele received her bachelor’s in psychology, master of science and advanced certificate in education, and completed graduate coursework in public health, most recently here at the University at Albany School of Public Health. Her undergraduate and graduate frameworks of psychology, education, human behavior and public health theories, helped influence her deep interest in social issues, community organizing, learning behavior, and prevention and intervention efforts. 

In her free time, Michele’s interests include traveling, cooking, sports, listening to podcasts, and staying active.
