Who can rent a locker?
The Men’s and Women’s General Locker Rooms are in the basement of the Physical Education Building (PE Building), which is located next to the SEFCU Arena. The locker rooms are near the SEFCU Fitness Center and our Open Recreation facilities.
Both locker rooms offer lockers, changing areas, showers and bathrooms. Patrons with fitness center access can use the locker rooms for free.
Eligible campus community members can rent tall or short lockers for a term, semester or academic year for a fee. Day-use lockers are available for free.
Undergraduate students, as well as faculty and staff members, are eligible to rent lockers at any time. They must show a valid UAlbany ID at the time of purchase.
Graduate students must first purchase a Campus Recreation Membership and then show their UAlbany ID to be eligible to rent lockers. Graduate students are limited to semester-long rentals.
How do I rent a locker?
Eligible campus community members can purchase a locker rental online. Review our refund rules.
If you already have a locker and wish to renew your rental, you must make the purchase before your current rental expires.

Please note the following locker rental rules:
Patrons must provide their own lock. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
Rentals expire on the last day of the finals each semester. Patrons must remove their lock and all items inside the locker by that date. View the Academic Calendar for exact dates.
If locker contents are not removed by the end of the stated rental period, Campus Recreation staff will clear the locker contents. Patrons then have a two-week period to retrieve their items before they are donated to charity.
Patrons cannot access locker rooms during certain home athletic events. Closures will be posted on the locker rooms' entrance doors.
