The University at Albany Dean’s List recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of members our full time undergraduate student body. In their first semester of study, in order to qualify for this distinction, students at the University at Albany must earn a grade point average of 3.25 or higher; students in subsequent semesters of study must earn a grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Additionally, to qualify for the Dean’s list each of these students must complete a minimum of 12 credits with no grade lower than a C, and no incomplete grades.

The University at Albany Dean’s Commendation for Part-Time Students adheres to the same stringent requirements as the Dean’s List, except that it allows for students to complete a minimum of 6 credits.
