Time and Attendance - Leave Regulations
Leave regulations vary between classified and professional employees. Classified employees are those represented by CSEA, PEF, NYSCOPBA, PBANYS, and unrepresented M/C classified employees. Professional employees include UUP represented and unrepresented M/C unclassified employees. Please select the appropriate link below for the leave information applicable to you.
COVID-19 Guidance for UAlbany Employees

Exposure & Positive Test Results
UAlbany asks anyone feeling unwell to stay home and seek medical care.
Employees who test positive for COVID-19 should refer to CDC guidance on isolation and consult a medical provider for appropriate care.
Employees are eligible for up to 14 days of COVID-19 Sick Leave in lieu of charging accrued leave. This leave may be utilized up to three (3) times; following exhaustion of this benefit, personally accrued leave or other leave options would be required. To use paid COVID-19 leave, please complete the COVID Sick Leave Request Form. If you are unable to complete the online form, please call HR at 518-437-4700.
Additionally, please follow normal call-in procedures for notifying your supervisor of your absence.
