Biography:
Sandra Vergari has been analyzing the charter school movement for 12 years and is available to speak on the key issues including charter school development and implementation, achievement issues, the public v. private debate, charter high schools, New York State's limit, and more from a local or national perspective. She has served as a consultant on charter school issues and co-founded School Choice, a research subdivision of American Educational Research Association where she held leadership positions from 2000 to 2004. Vergari has also conducted research on morality politics and education policy, and is the editor of The Charter School Landscape (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2002).

An associate professor in the department of educational administration and policy studies, and a faculty affiliate with the department of public administration and policy at UAlbany, Vergari is a political scientist with a focus on local, state, and federal K-12 education reform politics and policy. She received her doctorate from Michigan State University.
