| Biography: John W. Delano received his doctorate in geochemistry at Stony Brook University. His research has been funded by NASA in the fields of Apollo lunar sample analysis, and astrobiology. Professor Delano has not only served on scientific panels for NASA and the National Science Foundation (NSF), but also provided invited testimony in 2004 to the President's Commission on Exploration of the Moon, Mars, and Beyond. He gives about 30 invited talks to professional and lay audiences annually, and is the author of 55 articles in the professional scientific journals. |
