William Husson teaches courses that address diverse facets of the media-society relationship. He is especially interested in the media's role in the lives of children and adolescents; the variety, character, and quality of news in modern society; film as a source of entertainment vs. film as an instrument of persuasion; and the nature of American popular culture. Husson is also the coordinator of the undergraduate internship program for the Department of Communication. In that capacity, he has developed a growing interest in young adults' experiences and expectations of work. Husson received his doctorate in Communication and Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
