Biography:

Warner's research focuses on understanding the relationship between substance abuse and mental illness, and identifying inequities in behavioral health service delivery to vulnerable populations such as low-income women and Latinos. Her current projects examine environmental influences on the development and treatment of psychosocial problems, including organizational predictors of psychotropic medication use for youths, and country-of-origin influences on the risk for substance abuse among Latinos.

Warner was a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. Her research has been supported by the Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Warner is a member of the editorial board of Social Work in Mental Health
