Ronald Jacobs is an associate professor of Sociology at the University at Albany. A cultural sociologist who studies media, politics, and democracy, he is the author of The Space of Opinion and Race, Media and the Crisis of Civil Society. He is also co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Cultural Sociology.
