Gueutal's fields of interest include attitude surveys, business plan development, performance appraisals, human resource compliance, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), compensation and benefits, executive selection and managerial training.
He has conducted research on HRIS and technology, skill standards and competency models and small business development. He has been published in The International Human Resource Management Association Journal, Learning Review, the Journal of the Society for Human Resource Management, and Advances in Human Performance and Cognitive Engineering Research.
Gueutal received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1980.
