King is associate professor of sociology and an associate of the Center for Social and Demographic Analysis at the University at Albany. He has conducted research on the topics of hate crime offending and bias crime laws; the association between crime and family life; domestic terrorism; incivility and rude behavior; anti-Semitism; and how trials have affected the memory of historical events in the United States.
King received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota in 2005.
