Psychiatric Services

The Health Center staff work closely with the Counseling Center in the evaluation and management of psychiatric conditions among college students.

The Health Center has board certified Primary Care Providers capable of diagnosing and treating many psychiatric conditions seen in college aged students including sleep disorders, depression and anxiety.

The Health Center is also staffed by two board certified psychiatrists.

In order for students to be seen by the Health Center Psychiatrist they must be directly referred by a Counseling Center Psychologist or Health Center Primary Care Provider.

In addition, students with known psychiatric conditions being treated by an outside psychiatrist may provide pertinent medical records regarding their condition to the Health Center Medical Director, who after review may directly enable an appointment with our psychiatrist. To facilitate this process students can contact the Medical Director directly at 518-956-8421.
