Health Promotion Graduate Assistantship
The Graduate Assistantship in Health Promotion serves as co-coordinator for the Project SHAPE: Sexual Health and Peer Education program. This staff member assists with the recruitment, selection, training, supervision and management of this 40 member peer education program which conducts over 120 educational programs on sexual health for the University community each year. In addition, the Graduate Assistant assists the Coordinator for Health Promotion in the planning and implementation of educational programs, annual theme weeks (e.g. World AIDS Week), and many health promotion programs. Programs are held in academic classes, residence halls and for student groups as well as in local schools and community youth-serving agencies. The Graduate Assistant will assist in conducting the 3 credit training course in the fall semester.
