Replacing a lost, stolen or damaged SUNYCard
Students are responsible for ensuring that their SUNYCard is secure. If you lose your card, it is stolen or becomes damaged, you must deactivate it immediately. You will not be refunded for funds fraudulently used on your SUNYCard.
Please Note: For your protection, SUNYCards can be used by owner only. Purchases made with SUNYCards or credit cards which exceed $25, require a second form of photo identification.
Steps to replace a lost, stolen or damaged SUNYCard
1. Deactivate lost card Online or deactivate the card in person at The SUNYCard office.
2. Go to the SUNYCard Office during business hours (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)** to receive a new card. The replacement fee is $20.
**If the SUNYCard Office is closed - go Online to deactivate the card. Contact the University Police Department. Report your card lost or stolen and and receive a temporary card if needed. If UPD is unable to provide a temporary card, students should contact their Residential Quad Office.
What to do if you find a SUNYCard
If you find a SUNYCard, please turn it in to the SUNYCard Office, located in Campus Center B-52. If the office is closed, you may slide the card under the SUNYCard / Registrar’s Office door located on the west side (near the elevator).
Damaged SUNYCards
There is no charge to replace a card that has become demagnetized due to normal use.
