Replacing a lost, stolen or damaged SUNYCard

Students are responsible for ensuring that their SUNYCard is secure. If you lose your card, it is stolen or becomes damaged, you must deactivate it immediately. You will not be refunded for funds fraudulently used on your SUNYCard.

Steps to replace a lost, stolen or damaged SUNYCard

1. Deactivate lost or stolen card Online or deactivate the card in person at The SUNYCard office.

2. Go to the SUNYCard Office during business hours 8:30AM - 4:30PM** , to receive a new card. You will be charged $20 to replace a lost SUNYCard, there is no charge to replace a card damaged through normal wear & tear. To qualify for a replacement at no charge, you must bring all pieces of the broken (and currently active) card with you to the SUNYCard Office

**If the SUNYCard Office is closed- go Online to deactivate the card. Contact the University Police Department. Report your card lost or stolen and and receive a temporary card if needed. If UPD is unable to provide a temporary card, students should contact their Residential Quad Office.

to receive a temporary card if needed
