UAS Program Funds

Each year UAS provides funds to support events on campus which foster educational growth and community involvement.

It is our goal to give long-term support to continuing events as well as to assist with the establishment of new events within the University at Albany community.

The UAS Board of Directors has established a standing Program Committee and charged it with the responsibility of soliciting requests from campus organizations in need of financial support for the academic year 2012-2013. The committee will review each request, determine whether the event meets the criteria for UAS Program Funds and allocate appropriate the amount of funding.

To ensure that your event receives the full consideration it deserves, please be sure to answer all sections on the application. Program requests will only be considered upon receipt of your fully completed application. Every group that submits an application will be contacted by letter, indicating whether or not the group has received an award, and if so, for how much. Each award must be used for the purpose indicated and on the date indicated on the application and for an event which occurs between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.


Supplemental Program Funds
Supplemental Program Funds are alotted to organizations after Program Funds have been awarded. Supplemental Fund recipients can receive up to $1,000.

To apply for Supplemental Funds fill out 2012-2013 UAS Program Fund Grant. Applications must be filed with the UAS Program Committee for review and consideration no later than thirty days prior to the date of your event. Supplemental funding will remain available until the funding pool has been exhausted.

Using Your Funding

Before The Event:

Exceptions to this policy need advance approval.

After The Event - UAS can provide payment directly to vendors that provided the services for your event. Send UAS:

  • A completed disbursement form (Included in PF Approval Packet)
  • Invoices that need payment.
  • Federal Tax ID or Social Security Number of the payee in order to complete payment.

You need to change the date of your event.
The funding is awarded for the specific date that you stated in your application.

Your event is cancelled.
Please let us know if you will not be using the funding - we can award it to another organization in need.

You plan to use the money for another event.
You must submit a request in writing in order to reallocate the money to another event. This request must then go to the UAS Board of Directors, Program Committee for approval. We can assist you with this process.
