Podium Advance
Podium Advance is a taxable debit account added to your SUNYCard which offers the convenience of purchasing textbooks and supplies at the University Bookstore and items at other on-campus locations (vending, dining, and library printing and copying services). The amount you request is charged to your student tuition account and may be deferred against financial aid or paid in monthly installments using the University at Albany’s Student Accounts payment plan.
- For the Fall and Spring academic semesters, University Auxiliary Services, Inc. (UAS) will advance up to $650 on a student's SUNYCard each semester.
- For Summer Sessions, UAS will advance up to $200 per summer session; not to exceed $650 for more than three summer sessions.
How to Request Podium Advance for Summer Sessions
- Students registered for at least one Summer Session class, can request Podium Advance between April 29 and July 24, 2013 by visiting the Office of Student Financial Services.
- The maximum amount that can be requested per Summer Session is $200.
How to Request Podium Advance for Fall Semester
- Students registered for the Fall semester can request Podium Advance between August 1, 2013 and September 9, 2013 (at 11:59 pm) by logging into their MyUAlbany account (www.albany.edu/myualbany) and selecting the Campus Life tab followed by the link to "Request Podium Advance".
- The maximum amount that can be requested for the Fall Semester is $650.
Podium Advance Charges and Refunds
- Podium Advance charges and refunds are posted to the student's tuition account weekly.
- To request a refund, cancel, or decrease your Podium Advance amount, please visit the SUNYCard Office in Campus Center B-52.
