Munch Money

Munch Money is a declining balance (debit) account that is built into your meal plan. With Munch Money it is easy to make food purchases, add funds and track balances.

Advantages of Munch Money
Munch Money can be used to buy meals, snacks and beverages in the Campus Center dining locations, the Patroon Room, Downtown Cafe, Commons Cafe and in the residential quad dining rooms. Munch Money can also be used in vending machines from 11P- 7A. and in the residential quad dining rooms.

Each time you make a purchase, the amount is subtracted from your Munch Money balance. In addition, because Munch Money is a part of your Meal Plan, you pay no New York State tax on your purchases, saving you 8%.

• Add Munch Money - at the SUNYCard Office with cash, check or charge
• Check your Munch Money Balance - On-Line, Dining Services Registers, the SUNYCard Office and vending machines throughout campus.

Munch Money carries over from one semester to the next semester as long as you are enrolled in classes. If you are planning to study abroad for a semester, you must contact the SUNYCard Office so that your Munch Money account can be put on hold until your return.

When you make purchases from vending machines by swiping your SUNYCard between 11P and 7A, the system will deduct money from your Munch Money account. The system will only deduct money from your Podium Account during this time period if you have no Munch Money. Vending purchases can be made with your Podium Account 24/7.
