Commuter and Apartment Meal Plans 2012-2013

Students living on Freedom, Empire, Liberty Terrace or off campus may choose any meal plan. With six options to choose from, students can choose the plan that meets their needs, plus, because meal plans are tax free, students save 8% on every purchase.

DECLINING BALANCE ACCOUNT
Designed for students who may need only a few meals on campus each week, and offering students maximum purchasing flexibility in all residential quad dining rooms, Campus Center dining locations and the Downtown Café. The 2012 - 2013 Declining Balance Account now includes Bonus Munch Money as an added value. Also, meal plans are tax free, saving you 8% on every purchase.

MEAL PLANS
Meals may be used in any residential quad dining room or in Campus Center dining locations during Meal Trade hours. Additional Munch Money can be added to your account throughout the semester, online or at the SUNYCard office.

ADDING OR CHANGING A MEAL PLAN
Commuter / Apartment students:

• You can cancel you meal plan through September 10, 2012 by visiting the SUNYCard Office.  Meal plans cannot be cancelled on MYUalbany.  If a meal plan is cancelled, a refund will be applied to the student’s financial account based on the meal plan refund policy.
• Meal  plans cannot be changed to a less expensive meal plan after September 10, 2012
• You can add a meal plan and have it charged to your student financial account prior to September 10, 2012 at 11:59 pm, by signing up for the meal plan on your MYUAlbany account. 
• You can add a meal plan and have it charged to your student financial account between September 11, 2012 and September 21, 2012 by visiting the SUNYCard Office.
• You can purchase a meal plan any time after September 21, 2012, with cash, check or credit card by visiting the SUNYCard Office. 

• Note: we cannot take requests over the phone because we cannot take credit card information over the phone therefore; the student has to come to the office to purchase the meal plan.

*According to NY State Tax Law, meals and meal trades are to be used only by the owner of the meal plan and cannot be used to purchase guest meals.
