Meal Plans

Meal plans include meals and or Munch Money on your SUNYCard and offer students the flexibility of eating meals at any residential dining room as well as other dining locations. If you have questions, please contact the SUNYCard Office at 518-442-5989, e-mail UAS or stop in to see us on the lower level of the Campus Center, Room B52.

Traditional Residential Quad Meal Plans

Students living in traditional Residential Quad housing are required to have a meal plan. Freshman are automatically assigned to the Unlimited Plan. Meal plans are billed to the student's account and may be covered by Financial Aid.

Apartment and Commuter Meal Plans

Students living in the University Apartments and off campus may sign up for the the any meal plan including: Residential, Commuter or Apartment plans.

Returning Students

Returning Students living in traditional quad housing are automatically assigned the same meal plan they had the previous semester. Students living in the University Apartments and off campus will need to sign up for a plan at the beginning of each semester.

Activated Plans

Plans are active when residential halls open for occupancy. Meal plans end on the last day of exams each semester. For specific dates, please visit What's Open and When. Unused Meal Swipes do not carry over to the next semester. Munch Money balances do carry over to the following semester for enrolled students.

Changing your Meal Plan

Changes can be made through the 10th business day after the start of each semester. Students can change their meal plan by using MyUAlbany or in person at the SUNYCard Office.
