Adding or Changing Your Meal Plan

Students registered for the Spring semester may add or change their Spring semester meal plan by logging into their MyUAlbany account, beginning December 25, 2012. 

• The last day to change or cancel a Spring semester meal plan is February 5, 2013 at 11:59 pm; meal plans cannot be canceled or changed after this time. 

• Returning students who lived at State, Indian, Dutch, Colonial or Alumni Quad during the 2012 Fall semester, and will reside at one of these locations during the Spring semester, will automatically be assigned the same meal plan they had during the Fall semester.  Students returning to Quad housing may change their meal plan through their MyUAlbany account between December 25th and February 5th.

• Students newly assigned to Quad housing for the Spring semester will automatically be assigned a meal plan.  The Unlimited Meal Plan is automatically assigned for Freshmen and  the175 Meal Plan is automatically assigned for Upper Classmen.  Students newly assigned to Quad housing may change their meal plan via MyUAlbany between December 25th and February 5th.

• Only those students assigned to Quad housing for the Spring semester will automatically receive a meal plan for the Spring semester.  Meal plans from the Fall semester do not automatically carry over to the Spring semester unless the student is assigned to Quad housing.  However, commuter students and students residing in a University Apartment (who are registered for Spring semester classes) may sign up for a meal plan between December 25th and February 5th, via their MyUAlbany account.  The last day a commuter student or student residing in a University Apartment may cancel their meal plan is February 5, 2013; to cancel a meal plan the student must visit the SUNYCard Office located in Campus Center basement, room 52; meal plans cannot be canceled via MyUAlbany.

• Meal plan charges and/or credits will be applied to the students’ tuition bill within 7 business days after the student has added or changed their meal plan via their MyUAlbany account.
