Senior Advisor to the President for Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships
Vincent Delio was named Senior Advisor to the President for Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships in January 2014. In this role, Delio strategizes and recommends University-wide initiatives and public-private partnerships.
Previously, Delio was Chief of Staff for nine years serving as the President's principal aide and primary strategic liaison. He has also been the Director of Program Development for the Division for Outreach, where he assisted faculty in identifying strategic research and academic initiatives, building new alliances and partnerships, and securing state and federal funding.
Prior to arriving at the University, Delio held a key administrative position at the New York State Police from 1999 to 2002, where he played an instrumental role in forging a ground-breaking partnership with the University at Albany. Delio also served as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Finance Committee in the New York State Senate, where he worked for nearly ten years.
Delio holds a Masters of Public Administration and a Certificate in Public Sector Management from the UAlbany's Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy and a bachelor's degree in business administration from LeMoyne College.
