Withdrawal and Readmission
The Department of Withdrawal and Readmission works
with matriculated undergraduate students who
are currently enrolled, as well as those students who
have left the University and wish to complete their
University at Albany Baccalaureate degree.
The office is dedicated to assisting students in the
pursuit of their educational objectives in as seamless
a way as possible. The functions of this office include
the processing and evaluation of student Withdrawals,
Readmission, Degrees in Absentia, and Leaves
for Approved Study.

Withdrawal:
For matriculated undergraduate students who wish to
withdraw from the University and/or from all courses
for which they are currently registered.

Readmission: For all students who at any
time were matriculated undergraduate students at Albany.

Degree
in Absentia: Formerly matriculated students
with a cumulative grade point average of at least a
2.0 who have almost completed their undergraduate degree,
but cannot return to the University at Albany may apply
to finish their remaining degree requirements at another
college or university.

Leave
for Approved Study: Students whose cumulative
grade point average is at least a 2.0 may apply for
permission to pursue a Leave for Approved Study.
