PLUS Loans are loans which are secured by and in the name of a student’s parent or guardian.
PLUS Loans are a form of Title IV aid and therefore can not be used to pay optional charges unless authorization is given. Please view the Title IV Aid page if you wish to learn more about having your Title IV aid pay your optional charges. When a student has a credit on their account due to a PLUS loan, that credit is refunded to the parent. PLUS loan refunds are manually written and cannot be sent electronically.
