University Fee: $.85 per credit (maximum $12.50 each Fall/Spring semester); provides supplemental support for the academic mission of the University. Mandatory for all students. Non-refundable for course withdrawals bearing an official drop/withdrawal date of the first day of the session or later.
Comprehensive Service Fee: $42.95 per credit (maximum $537.00 per semester). Covers the University's cost of providing most Health Center services, access to technology, bus service, and parking facilities. This fee is mandatory for all students except students in our Overseas Academic Programs and in the Washington Semester program. Note: The Comprehensive Service Fee rate for members of GSEU is $34.55 per credit ($432.00 maximum per semester) and excludes bus and parking privileges.
Student Activity Fee: $85 for 12 or more credits, $63.75 for 9-11 credits, $42.50 for 6-8 credits. Funds the groups, programs, and activities of the Student Association. This fee is mandatory for undergraduate students taking 6 or more credits except those who do not have access to the campus, such as students in our Overseas Academic Programs.
Intercollegiate Athletics Fee: $199.50 for 12 or more credits, $149.63 for 9-11 credits, $99.75 for 6-8 credits. Funds the intercollegiate sports programs including team transportation, uniforms, etc. This fee is mandatory for undergraduate students taking 6 or more credits except those who do not have access to the campus, such as students in our Overseas Academic Programs.
Graduate Student Organization Fee: $20.00 for 9 or more credits, $10.00 for 1-8 credits. Supports the programs, activities, and services of the Graduate Student Organization. The fee is mandatory for graduate students except those who do not have access to the campus, such as students in our Overseas Academic Programs.
International Student Insurance: $554.75 for Spring/Summer; coverage dates are 1/15/2008 through 8/15/2008. Comprehensive coverage for medical expenses, generally incurred off-campus, including medical evacuation and repatriation benefits, arising from covered accidents and sicknesses. There is a deductible that may be waived in some circumstances. The insurance is mandatory for all international students and scholars and for students studying abroad. Anyone seeking a waiver must submit a request to the International Insurance Coordinator by the end of the fourth week of classes. SEVIS Fee: $40.00 per-semester, mandatory fee for all International students who are F and J visa holders. This fee supports compliance with federal mandates for reporting and tracking International students and scholars and is non-refundable for course withdrawals bearing an official drop/withdrawal date of the first day of the semester or later. (NOTE: The University's SEVIS Fee should not be confused with the $100 SEVIS Fee paid by visa applicants.) Late Registration: A $40 fee that is charged to students who register after the regular registration period ends. Late Registration usually begins the day after the first day of classes.
Late Payment: An amount charged after each invoice due date for unpaid balances. Charges are as follows:

Equal to amount owed for balances of $2 to $5

$5 for balances above $5 through $20

$10 for balances above $20 through $100

$30 for balances above $100 through $1,000

$40 for balances of $1000 through $2000

$50 for balances over $2000
Accident and Sickness Insurance: Since enrollment is optional, you must sign up for coverage each semester. Spring/Summer coverage is $935.00 for the period 1/18/2008 through 8/19/2008; the enrollment deadline for Spring/Summer is February 22, 2008. Comprehensive coverage for medical expenses, generally incurred off-campus, arising from covered accidents and sicknesses. The benefits of this program are designed to complement, not duplicate, services provided by the University Health Center. University at Albany Alumni Association - Purple & Gold Student Ambassador Program The Purple & Gold Student Ambassador program promotes pride in and preserves the traditions of UAlbany through service and leadership. Students serve as ambassadors for UAlbany at high-profile events and represent the university to key constituencies. In realizing this mission, the Purple & Gold Student Ambassadors build relationships between students and alumni and create a bridge between our past and our future.
Class Dues: $3.00 optional sponsorship of undergraduate class-specific (e.g., Class of 2008) events and activities, including voting privileges in class elections.
Five Quad: $5.00 optional contribution to the University's student-volunteer ambulance service corps.
