ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2019) – UAlbany offers students an excellent education at a great value, which is reflected in two recent national rankings of colleges and universities.

In its 2019-20 report, Money Magazine ranked UAlbany within the top 100 (no. 85) "Best Colleges for Your Money" in the United States.

According to an article explaining its methodology, Money states rankings are based on “the three basic factors that surveys show are the most important to parents and students: quality of education, affordability, and outcomes.” The three categories are given equal weights in the ranking.

Money evaluated 744 colleges and universities across the United States in its 2019-20 report, weighting more than 19,000 data points, including tuition fees, family borrowing and career earnings.

In addition, UAlbany ranked in the top 4 percent of all U.S. public schools for having the lowest average student loan debt per borrower, according to LendEDU's latest "Student Loan Debt by School by State Report."

The LendEDU report cited that students in UAlbany’s Class of 2018 average debt per borrower was $21,217, which ranked No. 3 in New York and No. 54 for all public schools.
