 My Great Dane Day 



ALBANY, N.Y. (Aug. 27, 2019) – For “My Great Dane Day,” UAlbany students partook in a series of Instagram takeovers to share a day from their summer internship, job or education abroad experience. 

 

  • Manik Elahi, a senior majoring in political science, served as a session assistant at the New York State Assembly. 
  • Michelle Neira, a sophomore majoring in digital forensics, studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. 
  • Ivan Daquial, a sophomore majoring in political science and philosophy, interned at PaulWeiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, an international law firm located in New York City. 
  • Elizabeth Stephenson and Jenee Russell of the School of Public Health interned abroad in Engeye Health Clinic in Mbarara, Uganda. The two graduate students are in their second year of the master’s program in health policy and management. 
  • Kayleen Torres Maldonado, a senior atmospherics and environmental sciences major, studied abroad at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan through the U.S.-Taiwan Partnership for International Research and Education (PIRE).
