Presidential Farewell

ALBANY, N.Y. (Sept. 2, 2016) — Faculty, staff and students gathered in the Ballroom of the Campus Center Thursday to bid farewell to President Robert J. Jones, who is leaving the University Sept. 23 for a new position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Provost James Stellar thanked Jones for his visionary leadership, and vowed the University would continue the momentum of the past three years, including adding new academic programs, partnering with the community and state, and attracting and retaining academically excellent students, scholars and researchers.

Jones, in turn, thanked Stellar, University leadership, and all those gathered for their hard work and dedication to excellence.
