University Recommits to Diversity, Tolerance

The University at Albany recommits to core values of diversity and inclusion.

ALBANY, N.Y. (June 20, 2016) -- In honor and memory of the victims of the Orlando nightclub tragedy, today and for the rest of this week the University will feature specially created imagery and graphics on its social media platforms and website, and on its welcome screen in University Hall.

University at Albany President Robert J. Jones' Message to the Campus Community:

"With the horrific news from Orlando still fresh in our minds, as individuals and as a community we must grapple with the reality of this act of hatred, and we must speak out against it. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims’ loved ones, and we stand with members of our LGBT community as we recommit ourselves to diversity, inclusion, tolerance, and nonviolence."
