Comedian and Safe-Sex Lecturer Maria Falzone Headlines Sexuality Week at University at Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (January 27, 2012) -- An address by nationally acclaimed comedian, author, and safe-sex proponent Maria Falzone tops the list of educational lectures during Sexuality Week at UAlbany, Jan. 30 through Feb. 14. Falzone will present "Sex Rules!" at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, in the Campus Center Ballroom.

Falzone has performed standup in comedy clubs throughout the U.S. and Europe, as well as on ABC, A&E, Showtime and TBS. Falzone created her frank and personal lecture "Sex Rules!" to play to colleges and universities throughout the country.

"During the 29 years that Sexuality Week has been in existence at UAlbany, college students across the nation have been faced with critical issues and choices. Concerns related to gender issues, HIV/AIDS, relationships, identity, and reproductive health continue to remain at the forefront," said M. Dolores Cimini, director of the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program, at the University Counseling Center. "We hope the information presented encourages learning, dialogue, and critical thinking, and continues to move Middle Earth forward in its mission of prevention and education."
