Limited Submissions
Procedure to Follow for Limited Submissions
Some agencies limit the number of proposals or nominees an organization may submit for a particular program. In cases where the program guidelines stipulate a limited number of submissions, an internal review and selection process is necessary to select the best qualified nominee(s) or proposal(s). The Office for Sponsored Programs will notify the appropriate faculty, chair, and or dean of the opportunity and the limitations. Interested applicants will be given an internal deadline to submit a one page summary of their anticipated project. In cases where the guidelines stipulate a specific number per college/school, the dean will be asked to coordinate the process within their college/school. When guidelines indicate a limited number per institution, the process will begin at the college/school level for recommendation. Those recommendations will be submitted to the Vice President for Research, Dr. Lynn Videka, for final selection in consultation with the relevant vice presidents and deans.
