SUNY Benevolent Association Research Grants Grants for University at Albany graduate students conducting research directly related to the doctoral dissertation or Master’s thesis, or for preliminary doctoral research. Applications are available in PDF format.
UA Graduate Student Organization Grants Program Grants for graduate student for Research or Travel of up to $650.
Dissertation Research Fellowship Awards Program Dissertation research fellowship awards that generally do not exceed $1000 per student, per annum (with potential for renewal), shall be made to support students engaged in research related to dissertation projects.
The Albert Mossin Physical & Life Sciences Endowment Scholarship Provides funding up to $6,000 for a graduating senior enrolled in a graduate degree program for the upcoming semester and majoring in physics or biological sciences with a strong emphasis on mathematics.

National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program

The Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees and is intended for students who are in the early stages of their graduate study.
Council for European Studies The Council's Fellowship Program serves as the leading resource for pre-dissertation fellowships, intended to fund young scholars’ first major research projects in Europe.
AIR/NCES Fellowships for Graduate Study The fellowships are for graduate study advancing or leading to careers in institutional research, thereby increasing the national level of expertise of institutional research officers and the data that they produce.
Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.

The purpose of these awards are to foster an interest among young researchers in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) through support of basic, clinical, or psychocsocial research under the supervision of an established investigator. Undergraduates, graduates and medical students are eligible to apply, however, preference is given to students with a college degree.
