MA University at Albany-SUNY, Latin American History, 2015
In spring 2015, Christopher graduated from U. Albany with an MA in History. Working with Dr. Louise Burkhart and Dr. John F. Schwaller, his research focused on mid-16th century descriptions of Aztec eagle and jaguar “knights” in both Nahuatl and Spanish texts. During the following fall, he started his PhD in Colonial Latin American History under Dr. Matthew Restall at Pennsylvania State University. He aspires to trace the changes among the Mexica military elite and military culture from the late Postclassic to early colonial periods.
