Education:

BA, 2004 University of Colorado at Boulder

Current Research:

My Master’s research focuses on copper bells and copper production at Mayapán. Finding evidence for production is pretty exciting, since there is direct evidence for this at only a handful of sites in Mesoamerica! Copper artifacts also tie into my larger interests in political economy and ritual. I am also interested in merchants, both for their role in the Postclassic economy, and as cross-cultural agents.

Research Interests:

Mesoamerican Archaeology, merchants, economy, social complexity, interregional interaction, status, mortuary practices, copper artifacts, ceramics, lithics, and diet.

Languages:

English, Spanish, and French
