UAlbany Community Pitches in to Clean Up Pine Hills Neighborhood

ALBANY, N.Y. (March 19, 2011) --

With rakes, brooms and trash bags, teams of UAlbany students and community members worked together on March 18 to clean up the Pine Hills neighborhood. The effort was organized by UAlbany alumna LeeFrances Sweet, ’09, the University at Albany Student Association, and the Graduate Student Organization.

Also participating were the City of Albany Department of General Services, Pine Hills Neighborhood Association, and local businesses, including the Hudson River Coffee House and All Good Bakers. Students said they wanted to get the neighborhood cleaned up and looking nice, and show the community they care.
