Your case will likely be resolved in one or more of the following manner:
Federal privacy laws prohibit the University from providing certain information to any third party, including parents with the exception of incidents involving drugs, alcohol when the student is under 21 years of age or where a student is a threat to him- or herself or others. The University exercises the option to notify parents in these instances and will do so by letter in the cases of alcohol and drugs. Parents will receive a copy of the sanction letter that their student receives.
