New York State Writers Institute Archives
The NYS Writers Institute Archive contains more than 3,000 hours of audio and video recordings that document readings, lectures, seminars, panel discussions, and interviews with the more than 1,000 writers who have appeared at the Writers Institute since 1984. One of the most extensive collections of its kind in the country, the Institute’s archive is an invaluable oral record of contemporary literature over the last four decades. Efforts are currently underway to make some of this material available to researchers and the general public through a digital media database maintained by UAlbany's Department of Special Collections and Archives.
