Institute of Nanoscale Technology and Youth (INTY)

The Institute of Nanoscale Technology and Youth (INTY) Program, which is aimed at engaging young people in the pioneering fields of nanoscale science and engineering, represents a partnership between the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) and the Center for Urban Youth and Technology (CUYT) at the University at Albany. INTY is designed to serve all youth, but with a clear focus on underrepresented, underserved and economically disadvantaged youth and adult populations. Students in the program spend part of the school year and summer on-site at the CNSE, participating in a variety of interactive laboratory and cleanroom projects related to silicon wafer processing, nanobiomaterials and emerging energy technologies.
