UAlbany Basketball Teams Advance to America East Championship Games
The University at Albany men's and women's basketball teams each scored semifinal wins on Sunday at SEFCU Arena to earn spots in their respective America East Conference championship games. The men travel to Vermont on Saturday, March 16 for an 11:30 a.m. matchup on ESPN2, while the women will host Hartford at SEFCU Arena at 7 p.m.
UAlbany’s community service efforts to improve the quality of life in the Capital Region have earned the institution a place on the 2013 U.S. President’s Higher Education Honor Roll. UAlbany Women’s Basketball Team Clinches America East Regular Season Title

UAlbany Women’s Basketball team clinched America East regular season title with a win Sunday over Stony Brook. With the victory the women claimed the No.1 seed heading into the America East Basketball Tournament. UAlbany will host both the men's and women's tournament at SEFCU Arena, March 8-10.
When a contingent from the University at Albany’s Center for Global Health went to Costa Rica in January to help isolated communities with parasite-prevention measures, they gained first-hand experience in delivering public health and learned the importance of global collaboration.
