Welcome & Happy Holidays from LLC!
The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers undergraduate degrees in French, Italian, Spanish and Russian (most also offer an honors component) and graduate degrees in French, Spanish and Russian. A minor in Portuguese is also offered. Additional languages available for study include Arabic, Dutch, classical Greek, German and Latin. Courses are also available in Chinese, Japanese and Korean in the Department of East Asian Studies and in Hebrew through the Judaic Studies Department. A language resources technology center, CLIC (www.albany.edu/cas/CLIC/), is available to faculty and students in HU311.

LLC seeks a qualified part-time instructor of beginning Arabic for Spring 2009. Applicants MUST have an advanced degree (MA or PhD) from an accredited institution, language teaching experience (preferably at the college level and in the language), and high competence in both Arabic and English. A recommended syllabus and text will be provided. Email CV and letter of interest to Janna Harton, Assistant to the Chair, LLC (jharton@albany.edu).
