The Economics Department Commencement Ceremony

When and Where?
- Saturday, May 17.
- 3:00 p.m. (Graduates should arrive by 2:30 p.m. to sign in.)
- Campus Center Ballroom (second floor of Campus Center).
Who?
- All undergraduate Economics majors who
expect to graduate in Spring or Summer 2008 are invited to attend,
along with their families and friends.
- Students who are not official degree candidates for May 2008
should let the department know of their plans to attend,
so that we can list your name.
- No tickets are required.
- Students are expected to wear academic regalia.
What's Happening?
- Individual recognition of each graduate on the platform,
and presentation of a certificate.
- Guest Speaker: Robert L. Megna, Commissioner, NYS Department
of Taxation and Finance.
- A photo area will be available for graduates and their families
to take pictures.
- A reception will follow, in the Terrace Lounge (first floor of
Campus Center).
What Else?
- A complimentary Family Picnic will be available on the Podium,
from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Torch Night ceremonies begin at 8:30 p.m. on the Podium.
- University-wide Undergraduate Degree-Conferral Ceremony,
Sunday, May 18, 10:00 a.m., on the lawn behind the Science Library.
Graduates should arrive by 9:00 a.m. and assemble in the gymnasium in the
Physical Education Building. Participants must wear proper academic regalia.
Guests should arrive by 9:30a.m. no tickets are required.
