Locker Rentals

Secure your workout gear in our locker rooms! UAlbany Campus Recreation locker rentals are available to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large. Discover the convenience of storing your workout/swim gear at one of our four spacious locker room facilities. All of our locker rooms offer various amenities including: private bathing facilities, hair driers, benches, and mirrors. Please note however, towel service is not available at this time. It is recommended that patrons secure personal belongings in lockers and valuables (e.g. watches, jewelry, cell phones) be left at home.  Campus Recreation and UAlbany are not responsible for any lost or stolen items, including those stored in a locker.

Locker Room Locations

  • General Locker Rooms
    • Available for general use
    • Housed on the first floor/basement P.E. Building
    • Day use lockers available- Any locks placed on the lockers must be removed at the end of the night or may be cut by Campus Recreation and have any belongings removed
    • Restroom facilities

    • Showering facilities

 

  • UAlbany Faculty/Staff Locker Rooms
    • Available for current UAlbany faculty/staff
    • Housed on the 2ndfloor/lobby level of the SEFCU building
    • Semester and annual locker rentals are available on a first come first serve basis
    • Accessed by key codes only, obtained from Recreation Services in the P.E. Building with locker rental 
    • Restroom facilities
    • Changing area
    • Showering facilities

Rental and Locker Renewal Policies

  • Faculty/Staff Locker Rental
    • Locker rentals for the SEFCU Faculty/Staff Locker Rooms will be conducted on a semester or academic year basis.
    • Rental costs will be $25/semester or $60/academic year (fall, spring & summer semesters) not including the cost of a pad lock.
    • Faculty/Staff renting lockers will be required to supply their own pad lock to secure their locker, or purchase one from Campus Recreation for $15.
    • All locker transactions are offered at Recreation Services located on the second floor of the PE Building, next to the vending machines.
  • Faculty/Staff Locker Renewal
    • It is imperative that lockers are renewed on time.
    • At the close of each semester, renewal reminders will go out for all lockers that are due to expire. 
    • Flyers will be posted on all expired/expiring lockers.
    • A follow-up e-mail will be sent two weeks later along with a phone call at the number provided by the patron.
    • At the end of the semester, all lockers that have expired will be cleaned out and the locker will be reassigned to a new patron.
    • Contents will be removed, bagged, and held by Campus Recreation in a storage location for six (6) months.
    • Items may be retrieved with valid ID from Recreation Services. After six (6) months, items will be donated to charity.
  • Additional Policies
    • Campus Recreation reserves the right to inspect this locker and its contents at any time.
    • Patrons must sign form accepting these policies in order to be issued a locker.

Memberships, Lockers, Guest Passes and program payments can be made at Recreation Services (518-437-3739), located on the main level of the Physical Education Building, (P.E.) 110A (Directions & Parking). Recreation Service memberships are sold from 8:00AM to 8:00PM Mondays through Fridays, exclusions may apply.
