Member Parking

Who can obtain a parking pass...

  • Campus Recreation members are eligible to receive a complementary parking pass with the purchase of their All-Facility Membership.
  • Parking passes are not available to Faculty, Staff, or students through Campus Recreation. These members will have to obtain parking passes through the Office of Parking and Mass Transit.
  • Complementary parking passes are valid until the end of scheduled finals with the exception of those parking passes given with the annual membership, which expire on the same date as the membership.
  • Patrons of Campus Recreation programming without memberships (such as Group Exercise or Aquatics Programming) may purchase parking passes for an additional $5.00.
  • Purchasing parking passes requires a separate check/money order transaction. They may not be completed with cash or credit.
  • Parking passes purchased with Learn-to-Swim, Tri-to-Swim, or Train-to-Tri passes will expire on the last day of scheduled programming.
  • Nanoscience Faculty/Staff may receive complementary parking passes.
  • Parking pass provides members of Campus Recreation access to the Athletic Complex (SEFCU Arena/Physical Education) parking lot.

How to obtain and use your parking pass...

  • To obtain a parking permit, the following automobile information must be provided: Vehicle Make & Model, Vehicle Year, and License Plate Number.
  • Parking decals must be displayed on the lower right portion of the front passenger windshield.
  • The Office of Campus Recreation supports the University at Albany Parking Rules and Regulations. Any ticket received will need to be disputed at the Office of Parking and Mass Transit Services, located near the Chemistry Building in the Indian Quad Commons area. Campus Recreation will not dispute a ticket on the behalf of the patron.
  • Any patron opting out of the complementary or purchased parking pass is required to sign a waiver acknowledging their refusal of the parking pass and their acceptance of any parking tickets that may occur as a result of their declining the parking pass.

Special parking notes...

  • The UAlbany Athletic Department has an agreement with Mass Parking Transit and Services for "fee-based" parking at the Athletic Complex (SEFCU Arena/Physical Education) lot for a handful of events. This includes football, basketball, and lacrosse home games, as well as special events such as Homecoming Weekend and Giant's Training camp. As these events are subject to change, we suggest members contact the UAlbany Great Danes Ticket Office for up-to-date information and schedules.
  • During the "fee-based" parking events, the Office of Campus Recreation and the Office of Parking Management have arranged for FREE membership parking (with current, valid tag) in Dutch Quad/Lot D.
  • Office of Campus Recreation patrons, visitors, or rentals also have the option to pay to park in the Athletic Complex (SEFCU Arena/Physical Education) lot.
