UAlbany CIO Honored as Best of New York for IT Leadership

University at Albany Chief Information Officer Christine E. Haile received the "Best of New York" award on June 29, 2004 for Demonstrated Leadership in Management of Information Technology. The award was presented at the Marriott Hotel on Wolf Road by James Dillon, New York State's CIO and last year's recipient. Full Story >>

Professor Gummer Mourned

School of Social Welfare Professor Emeritus Burt Gummer, 66, a nationally recognized scholar on social welfare administration, passed away June 30. Gummer, who retired in 2002 after 25 years of dedicated service as a faculty member, once chaired the undergraduate program and the management concentration. Full Story >>
