The Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Risk through the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity prepares you for high-demand careers across industries like government, finance, healthcare, energy, and tech. The program offers flexibility to tailor your path based on your interests - whether in Technical Roles, Risk & Compliance Roles, or Managerial & Strategic Roles.
The Cyber Risk Management & Compliance concentration will prepare students in policy and risk management, with a particular focus on how cyber incidents and cybersecurity program impact the security of organizations and government. It incorporates a focus on homeland security. Students entering this specialization will likely be interested in occupations such as security manager, cybersecurity analyst, risk analyst, GRC specialist, security auditor, Data Privacy Officer, Policy Advisor, and, with experience, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The Cybersecurity & Privacy of Health Information concentration will prepare students to apply security analytics, risk assessment, and policy management to protecting health information. Students entering this specialization are likely to be interested in occupations such as health information security director, health IT project manager, and cybersecurity analyst for medical records.
